The Breville JE98XL is a great juicer for people interested in a cheap but powerful machine. The unit comes with an 850W Dual Speed motor that has low and high settings. At high speeds, the machine performs at 12,000 RPM while at low speed it performs at 6,500 RPM.
In addition to the dual speed motor the unit also comes with a 3-inch wide feed chute that makes it easy for you to prepare juice without necessarily cutting the fruits and vegetables into extremely tiny pieces. Due to the large chute you only need to place the materials that you want inside the machine and the unit will handle the rest.
The unit’s body is made from high quality polymers while the mesh filter and cutting disc are made from stainless steel. This ensures that the unit lasts for a long time. The material also ensures that the inside areas don’t corrode.
Due to the custom cleaning brush for the mesh filter, you are able to easily clean it. The good side is that all the parts that require regular cleaning can be dismantled and cleaned.
The juice jug can handle up to one liter of juice thus you are able to prepare enough juice for you and the family.
Pros of the machine
One of the main advantages of the machine is that it has a great performance. Due to the powerful motors and wide chute, you are able to prepare high quality juice within a very short period of time.
The other advantage is that it’s cheap. When you compare the price and its performance you will find that the unit is cheap. The quality of juice produced is the same as the one produced by the expensive models.
The machine is very easy to use; therefore, even if you never used a juicer before, you can easily use it. If you have problems operating it you only need to read the manual that comes with it.
While the unit has the above advantages, it has a number of disadvantages. One disadvantage is that it doesn’t have an impressive performance when it comes to handling leafy vegetables such as kale and spinach. The machine tends to bypass the vegetables and as a result plenty of the foods are left in the pulp extractor.
Another flaw with the unit is that it makes a lot of noise which is brought about by the motor spinning at very high revolutions.
